This report summarizes U.S. children’s hospital advertising investment and competitive Share of Voice using paid media spend estimates from MediaRadar (formerly Vivvix). Spend figures reflect non-social paid media activity captured by MediaRadar and are presented at both the national level and by geography.

Regional analysis is based on the 210 Nielsen Designated Market Areas (DMAs). Where applicable, advertiser activity is assigned to DMAs according to MediaRadar’s market-level tracking.

To provide a clearer view of competitive dynamics among peer children’s hospitals, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children are excluded from the analysis. These two organizations combined for more than 85% of total category spend, which would otherwise disproportionately skew category totals and Share of Voice. The remaining analysis focuses on regional children’s hospitals and health systems to enable more accurate comparative benchmarking.

How results are calculated:

  • Total spend represents the sum of tracked (non-social) paid media investment for included advertisers during the reporting period.
  • Share of Voice is calculated as each advertiser’s tracked spend divided by the total tracked spend for all included advertisers.
  • Monthly trends reflect aggregated tracked spend by month for included advertisers and are used to illustrate pacing and seasonality.

MediaRadar figures are industry estimates based on monitored advertising activity and may differ from internal finance totals. The report is intended for directional competitive and market benchmarking across national and regional trends.
